80 years of Freedom.
To mark the occasion, Faces to Graves is organizing the photo exhibition
The Faces of Groesbeek at the Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek.
Saturday 26 April 2025 - Sunday 18 May 2025.
Preparation and Photo Collection
We are already busy with the preparations and in the meantime we have also received many new photos from Canada. Thanks to all those who help us in our search for soldiers' photos!
Photos submitted before March 1st, 2025, can still be printed fort this project.
Exhibition at the Gravesites
This time all available photos even remain at the graves for three weeks
(April 26, 2025 - Sunday, May 18, 2025) , the first week because this is a holiday week for Dutch schools. Previously, we have seen that many families and grandparents with grandchildren visited the cemetery.

Time: 3:00 PM
This date was chosen to give our Canadian guests the opportunity to attend this ceremony, co-hosted with Veterans Affairs Canada. Many are already in the Netherlands around this date because of the commemorations.
Invitation for Family Members
We kindly ask all family members planning to visit Groesbeek for this event to register in advance.
Registered family members will receive a formal invitation for the opening ceremony on Friday, May 2, at 3:00 PM
Printing and Funding Needs
Since the photos were placed at the graves and names of the missing on the Memorial in May 2023, many new photos have already arrived. These photos all have to be printed on durable Alupanel panels, which can be used multiple times and we must have sufficient resources at our disposal for this.
